It really is amazing how far blog advertising is coming. People say it is annoying to get ads, but as I was looking through my Rolling Stone magazine the other day, there is not hardly a page in there that does not have some sort of advertisements on it. There are more full spread advertisements than articles, so with that being said, I love getting paid to blog. It is so great to be able to write about the things that I am passionate about, and bring information to people, as well as making money on the side! Who thought that getting paid for blogging would become such a trend? This gives advertisers a lot of opportunity to get their names to people, without having to go through really expensive advertising agencies. I love advertising for people, it is fun for me to write, I always wanted to be a writer, and this counts too!

President Bush and Prime Minister Gordon Brown met for the first time since Brown took over as Prime Minister of Great Britain. Of course, the war on terror and Iraq were topics for discussion, even though Britain is no longer using the “war on terror” label. I would think Brown would be happy for the getaway at Camp David, what with the first few weeks of his Prime Minister-ship being consumed with terrorist attacks and flooding.

I love seeing things that are futuristic, the kind of stuff I would have seen on the Jetsons when I was younger. Recently I seen one of these kinds of items, it is a digital picture frame. The frame can actually change the pictures you are displaying, to me this seems like really futuristic! The family of a veteran of the war in Iraq has filed a negligence suit against the Department of Veterans Affairs. Their son served in Iraq, and when he returned, he was denied mental health help from the VA. He then committed suicide. The family is hoping that their suit will bring to light the problems in the VA and cause the Bush administration to fix the way Iraqi vets’ problems are handled.
